Hunter Biden said Thursday he would be willing to challenge President Trump’s eldest sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, to a “cage match.”
Hunter Biden, son of former President Biden, said he received a call from YouTube personality Andrew Callaghan, who the younger Biden said was organizing the match as part of his upcoming “Carnival” tour. Hunter Biden said he would attend the shows in Phoenix, San Diego and Albuquerque, N.M., at the end of the month.
“I told him I’d do it, 100 percent in, if he can pull it off,” Biden said in an Instagram video that Callaghan posted on his Channel 5 Instagram page. “And if he can’t, I’m still coming.”
Callaghan in an email to USA Today said he thought Hunter Biden made the remark “in jest,” but added he’d be “more than happy to facilitate” the match if the older Trump brothers are “willing to engage Hunter in mutual combat.”
The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The White House is planning to host UFC fights, called Freedom Fights 250, on June 14, President Trump’s birthday. The fights would mark the first professional sporting event ever held at the White House and are part of a series of events that commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S.
“And on June 14, next year, we’re going to have a big UFC fight at the White House, right at the White House on the grounds,” Trump said at a celebration of the Navy’s 250th anniversary in Norfolk, Va., in 2025.
UFC fighter Brandon Royval and former MMA fighter Ronda Rousey have slammed the planned cage matches at the White House, with Royval comparing the event to the dystopian book series “The Hunger Games” on a podcast last year.
