Bill Maher told Vice President JD Vance that his vote is \u201cin play\u201d in the 2028 presidential election as he called out several high-ranking Democrats \u2014 such as NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Kamala Harris \u2014 for avoiding his program.<\/p>\n

Maher, the liberal host on HBO\u2019s \u201cReal Time,\u201d warned Friday that Democrats and moderate members might not get his vote if the party continues on the path of socialism.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike, if this is where the Democratic Party is going, where this Democratic socialist, this obsession with Israel, with the Jew hating, they don\u2019t believe in capitalism, no prisons. If this is where they\u2019re going, my vote is in play,\u201d Maher told Vance.<\/p>\n

Maher said that he has \u201calways\u201d preferred the candidate whom he believed was the best option rather than voting along party lines.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt actually always has been. Every year, I don\u2019t make my decision by who has an R or a D, I actually always came to the conclusion that the Democrat was probably better and voted for them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
